Businesses asked to complete survey on Net Zero progress

Businesses in Perth and Kinross are being asked to take part in a new survey to gauge their progress towards Net Zero.

The survey, being run by Perth & Kinross Council, asks firms about their awareness of the Scottish Government’s target of reaching Net Zero by 2045 and what steps, if any, they have taken to meeting that goal.

Responses to the short online questionnaire will help the Council understand the progress the business community is making towards net zero and support an application to Innovate UK by Perth & Kinross Council which supports innovative businesses and organisations.

Perth & Kinross Council Environment, Infrastructure and Economic Development Convenor Councillor Andrew Parrott said: “Businesses are aware they must become more sustainable in the future and innovation is key to economic growth and.

“This survey will let us get a better picture of the situation in Perth and Kinross and where the Council can help.

“I’d urge businesses to take 10 minutes to complete the survey and help us create a greener, more sustainable economy for Perth and Kinross.”

Councillor Richard Watters, convenor of the Climate Change and Sustainability Committee added: “As a Council we have set out the Perth and Kinross Climate Action Plan and want to know more about what our businesses are doing.

“We all have a role to play and know businesses across Perth and Kinross are already changing the ways they work or are investing in new technology to play their part in the drive towards Net Zero.

“This survey will help us gain a better understanding of what is happening across Perth and Kinross and where support can be given.”
