Sophie McEwan

Sophie runs Quince & Cook, an interiors, range cooker, gift and cookware shop, with her husband Neil in Perth City Centre.

Launched in October 2020 after various delays due to covid. The shop has been designed to offer more than just retail, with their space often hosting craft, cookery and well-being classes, as well as social hub for the local community.

Sophie believes that retail needs to evolve and adapt to compete with big brands and online retailing. Bricks and mortar shopping must become an all sensory experience, encompassing thoughtful visual merchandising, welcoming scents, curated product ranges and creative shop design, together these elements will create a unique shopping experience and convey the individual personalities of businesses.

With skills in merchandising, window dressing, graphic design and social media, Sophie often offers freelance services to fellow independent businesses and charities.

With a passion for Perth, Sophie uses her social media platform to shout from the roof tops about her home City by frequently creating guides for shopping, accommodation and dining on her Instagram profile.
